We lost two players over the summer from a side which got to the playoffs, but according to some the majority of the squad is now not fit for purpose. We have three modern stands, admittedly which need a bit of tlc, and one which definitely needs replacing. Let's bulldoze the lot and build a new ground somewhere else (which would probably bear an uncanny resemblance to three of the current stands at Oakwell.) Last week I took my car in for a service and was told it needs a couple of parts changing in the suspension, so tomorrow I'm taking it to the scrap yard and buying an entirely new car. I'm not sure who's paying for it or anything, but that doesn't matter. After I've sorted the car issue out, I'm off to get my leg amputated in order to get rid of an ingrown toenail.
I believe that if it was knackered due to me failing to service or maintain it properly, I'd be obliged to replace it.
22nd in the league with Markus Schopp in charge. The transfer window is shut and prospect of little change until January.
which clearly isn’t the case. Maintenance costs are significantly higher than expected. They were sold a dud, maybe they weren’t thorough enough to understand this, maybe they were and they know exactly what they are doing now. Either way the stand needs replacing, the ground owners should be hold responsibility for this.
Shame I can only like this once. personally I’ve been laughing all year cos my neighbours are having their house repossessed. But I’ve got the proper monk on cos my bank won’t give me money I can’t afford to repay in order to buy a shiny new shed so I can look as posh as the neighbours.
When you took your car in for those two dodgy parts. Did they also find a handful of other parts either temporarily not working or performing at 70% of their capability?
speaks an expert in contract law... Very few on here dont believe the stand needs replacing at some point and its clearly not going to be done whilst the ownership and club are in dispute. But thats not the issue There is a stand in the lease - its an old one and needs work to keep it usable - I dont know the cost of this but its unlikely to be astronomical if it was the club would have said so but even then at the end of the lease the club have to return a stand in the state it was at the start of the lease - wear and tear are not the responsibility of the landloard but the tenant Read the club statement and not what it doesnt say - it does not say the stand is unsafe and cant be used - it says it needs work and the club dont want to do it so are just moving everyone along with some baffling waffle about how challenging it is to steward
