If that performance is meant to show how we'll win L1 next year I reckon we could be in for the double drop.

We were thrashed again, by a better team who were on a roll and up for it.
We won't(can't) continue to be as bad as that, surely.

Double drop might be on the cards for a few of our fans if the performances keep to this level for the rest of the season.

Portsmouth won’t go up. Nowhere near good enough but better than us. What does that tell you?

Come correct me at end of the season ;)

Unprecedented! A lower league club beating a higher league club in a cup match. Who'd have thought it would ever happen. /sarc

Anything is possible in sport, however I would be astonished if that happened

More to it than that ,
Throw In Tuesdays performance , unable to take corners and throw ins .
Running around like chickens chased by a fox when opposition attack .
Unable to put two passes together in midfield .
I’m sure there’s more but I’m putting same effort in as a reds player .

I can handle losing to any team of any league tbh, but today we got absolutely mullered, no fight, couldn't pass the ball, looked like 11 strangers out there, it was cringe worthy and embarrassing, if we had made say 7/8 changes I would agree with you but he put out a strong team who got there arses owned today, big time

To be fair we all thought this the last time we got relegated and that squad were more than good enough for league 1. However I do think this squad is less qualified for league 1 than the Stendel squad was. Lots of players on long contracts so not much wiggle room to refresh squad, lots of overseas players etc

Unfortunately it isn't as simple as just having an off day and being beaten by a lower league side.

Agreed it's not that often in the FA Cup that a lower league side can score four against a higher league side.

I saw us battered 4-0 away at derby last game of season when we got relegated. The team played worse than today and heads dropped severely after Derby’s first goal. We were woeful to say we had 90 mins to save our season.

We got promoted the following season.

I also saw us in one of the worst games in my life as a barnsley fan lose to non league Altrincham performing as bad as I’ve ever seen.

We got promoted 5 months later

It’s one game folks in a competition I’m kind of glad we are out of giving us one thing to concentrate on which is far more important than a potential cup tie against one of the prem high flyers.

    Chins up

Like the optimism but it’s two poor games now.

Well we might as well pack in then if it’s two bad games and not bother going. We are a team struggling to stay up so I’d expect us to hit a streak like this otherwise we’d not be where we are. We’re still in better form than the two teams above us. I will admit that the next 6 games are season defining tho as we play 3 teams in and around us. Chins up, it’s still all to play for

Take Mowatt and Woodrow out of this side (inevitable when we drop) and I really don't see anything to be optimistic about next year. There are some pants sides at the bottom of League One and I'd expect us to finish just above this group.
