Woodrow and Morris were nailed on to go We wont miss Oduor amd hopefully he comes back a better player. Anderson Collins still here Connell and Cadden will be decent and time for Cundy to settle Benson Thomas Aitchison are like 3 new good signings Kitching Williams look decent at this level Cole is improving and Jalo looks a star. Marsh Wolf and Kane all decent for league1 Tedic Norwood need to pull their fingers out quick Not the best but an ok transfer window.
The squad looks so unbalanced. So far it's painfully obvious that we're still looking for value at the expense of actually being able to field a coherent team of players.
Lack of striking options means we need Tedic to step up quick, he seems to have the attributes and schooling at Man City
Absolutely. "More of a development signing", according to Duff in the YP. We've sold our only two real strikers and effectively replaced them with Norwood. Still, at least we've got more defenders and midfielders than we know what to do with!
If him and Duff can stop arseing about and Iseka gets hi head down he would be a good addition to our squad.
I’m a happy clapper usually but no one can seriously spin this transfer window into a positive. You are correct that some of these players may come good over time but the lack of balance in the squad is embarrassing. It’s like names have been pulled out of a hat with no thought process gone into it
Maybe so. I’ve seen nothing to suggest he looks anything other than out of his depth in professional football. Honest toiler. No criticism of his effort level. I just don’t think he’s good enough. And that’s not just my opinion either. Back to your op - we are crying out for a centre forward, and we’ve signed a centre mid and a winger/10. Yes we needed a right back so Edwards is good business. But as for Phillips and Martin - they might be good, but they aren’t what the squad lacked. Centre mid has looked, of all places, the least worry in the team. We don’t play with wingers at all and have other players to play 10; and is Martin better than Luke Thomas? Maybe so. But there’s bigger issues further up. What we needed desperately was a centre forward. We’ve been crying out all summer. Failing a very late announcement, or the signing of an out of contract player, we haven’t got one.
To not bring in 1 or 2 strikers better than we currently have is really bad business Cole Norwood Tedic We are in the mire if thats all we have to go with.
3 good additions to our squad, im excited to see them play, cant wait for saturday. Edwards an experienced strong defender. Phillips Benson must have played together before under Duff. Martin good reviews about him as an exciting forward player.
