If James Cryne inherits his dads wealth - about £50 million - then in the scheme of things it's peanuts to other members of the board. And I can't imagine Billy Beane having a shed load of money. But what about the others? The Indian guy has wealth of c£5 Billion. Chein Lee is the major share holder - so I presume is the richest guy on the board. And what about the Chinese woman and the American dealer? Has anyone any figures?
Beane has around £20 million, not seen anything for Pacific Group or Chien Lee (wiki says £9 billion) I think the Indian family is quite interesting especially with the press conference.
Maybe the others will buy the other 20% in the future. I got the idea that was their plan.. Why do you say that, what did he say?
The Indian fella had things to say to members of supporters trust after the press conference - according to Gally on here
"I'm mad about football, l look after my families investments" Daddies a billionaire... I'm also intrigued as to what "crazy" money is to a multi-billionaire. We'll get the bunting out if we pay more than the Mike Sheron fee.
Will you be boycotting the matches given that the new owners will no doubt have right of centre political views.
Wonder if they are sticking around for any of the Christmas fixtures ? Hopefully Gauthier can step up and tell us more at some point.
Jeeeezzz Will you be looking at the football scores on Satdi? If you do - 'how is that any of your business? Or mine, or anyone else here'? Or is it - that you would just like to know out of interest?
What a ridiculous response! Of COURSE I am interested in how the team get on but the personal wealth of board members has nothing to do with me. The two things are not related in any way. Oh, and by the way, there is no need "to welcome them on my behalf". I didn't know you were our self-appointed ambassador.
I totally agree with P of R , the wealth of our new owners is none of our business , because you can bet your bottom dollar that if the club do not spend in january what some of our fans think they should , then there will be people shouting for these individuals to get their hands in their pockets
I thought we all knew.. They Own bfc , fans are bound to ask such questions if you or I think it's a LoS or not
Doesn’t really matter but could you ever “expect” Patrick to spend him and his family’s money on the club? Not really. Investors, yes. But in their own words they aren’t going “crazy”, and that’s exactly the Barnsley mentality. Make a sound investment.
Whatever they are worth most of it will be tied up in property or other investments.... The main thing is they have come into Barnsley to improve and push the club forward not only with money but contacts and expertise that can push us onto the next level.
