Does anybody else get a beeping noise on this site suddenly?

    Every time a page loads I get the sort of noise I usually get when my tablets battery drops below 20%. Couldn't work out what it was so restarted the tablet and while restarting I came on here on my phone which immediately made the noise. Turned tablet back on and no noise. Loaded up this site and it's going mental

    I knew there must be a reason.
    Nah it's quite high actually and thinking about it is say the noise is possibly more like the noise you get when you have a virus warning pop up

    Could it be a notification when someone quotes you etc?

    This site makes a sound when there was a chat message, but there hasn't been any of those for a while, so I don't think it will be that.

    Its because we were talking about them the other day so she sent me one to show me how they work but pointed out that she can't see replies on her phone so obviously I replied just so she got the notification but couldn't read it because the simple things amuse me. Well that backfired didn't it when she replied to it and did my head in for an hour

    The best bit about all this is that I have my phone on silent so I had no idea you'd replied until I was on my laptop today and thought I'd check as I knew you were likely to have said something. That is brilliant karma though!
