I've recently switched to Santander for the account that my wages go into (should've been today) but, as of yet, nothing. When I was with Lloyd's, funds were available at midnightish. I'm just wondering if Santander take longer in releasing funds than other banks and if anybody else has had this before I get on the blower to work. Thanks in advance!
Never had problem with my pensions going in on time, in fact one that is due tomorrow ( 1st of the month) is in today, early because of the weekend
I bank with them and I get a text message to tell me when wages are paid in and money paid out . Easy to set it up online
I've been with them over 10 years and the only problem I have is that I managed to lock myself out of my online account last week. When you call them they don't just unlock your account. They send you letters out, one with a new temp password, and one with a new PIN. This takes up to 10 working days. Why they can't just unlock it is beyond me.
If it's not been done properly will be in a 'suspense account ' and you'll have to contact them to free it up.
Never had a problem with them at all like this. What I do have a problem with is I switched as you get 3% interest on up to £20k in current account unrestricted withdrawals. But got a letter saying this was getting halved. Understand it I suppose but still bloody annoying when BOE rate wasn't dropped by 1.5%!
How long ago did you change your details over. Are you sure it's not an issue with your employer not changing the details in time for it to be paid into the correct account. Obviously I don't know how big your employer is but I work for a large company and have mates who have changed their details over and they had to give 14 days notice prior to pay day. Sent from my phone using my hands
I did and they don't do it immediately. As I said they send you two letters with temp password and PIN. I changed them back to my originals this afternoon. I was locked out for a week.
