I've really enjoyed watching Mawson develop into a very good player whilst here at Oakwell. I look forward to the next gem BFC will discover.I feel kinda proud to see players like Stones,Holgate,Mawson even players like Drinkwater, Butland and Fletcher who we had on loan.I'm sure they'll never forget there time at Barnsley.Onwards and upwards.
I'm sad to see him leave, too, old mate. However, we've been bringing in quality, young, hungry players for a couple of seasons now and see no reason why that trend under Hecky & Mr Cryne won't continue. If the situation means either MacDonald or Cowgill start tomorrow, so be it. Either lad will get my full backing.

Funny old game, 8 months ago we wouldn't have got £5k for Mawson , now a reported £5mil , great turn around by club and player.
