Surely it's the referees call whether to stop the game though? In the end letting Villa score is morally correct but the whole incident was a mess.
Bamford should be banned for six games for the cowardly stranglehold on Conor's neck and have his Equity card withdrawn sine die for the appalling acting that got El Ghazi sent off.
Radio deedar a no go for next 12 months they will all be havin an orgasm now united are defo in millionaires row
Why should it be the referees call? No law has been broken and it wasn’t a head/ serious injury, therefore the game continues. It’s a moral issue which was eventually resolved by Leeds allowing Villa to equalise. Bamford was a disgrace in the aftermath but unfortunately we see this kind of behaviour on a far too regular basis now.
No that's essentially what I meant, the game only stops if the referee deems it necessary for a head injury or something serious, otherwise it's play on. I was under the impression that the decision was taken out of the players hands to avoid such as what happened with the goal. Anyway the outcome was fair. Bamford was a disgrace.
Technically did nowt wrong, very amusing though! Obviously the villa player gets his red card overturned, if the FA have any balls they ban Bamford for 3 games
Leeds were in their rights to play on (play to the whistle and all that), but when their left back looked as though he was playing it out, only then to slip a pass down the line it was gamesmanship. Yes Villa shouldn't have stopped but it looked poor from Leeds. Fair play to Bielsa, I'd have not bothered when I saw Terry's shitty face screaming at me.
I thought Terry was going nuts because Jansson tried to stop it happening? Either way Leeds were out of order, whether they did anything technically wrong or not. Bamford was bang out of order feigning an elbow to his head too. My other half supports them but i hope they stay down now.
It's just another form of gamesmanship, trying to slow the game down by having a team put the ball out. Gives an opportunity for the defending team to reset, when more often than not the "injured" player is completely fine. If football players didn't go down so softly perhaps I'd have some sympathy, but it's for the referee to control the game, Leeds were right to go on the attack.
If they'd have done that against us I would bet good money you'd have gone absolutely mental. If you're going to say otherwise sorry I don't believe you!
Probably. I'd have also gone mental at the defenders standing around waving their arms instead of playing football.
