I knew failing to beat Bristol City would see us drop into the relegation zone today. Ipswich have nothing to play for, the players know that a new manager is coming in next season so no need to put in bust a gut performances until pre-season. Apart from us, I hope they don’t have to play any more of our regation rivals. Really dreading listening to 1000s of Dee dars cheering and chanting ‘you’re going down’ next week.
The table doesn’t lie and we deserve at the minute to be in the bottom 3 . Also 1 home win in 7 months says it all really.
I know the Table doesn’t lie and I’m not putting any kind of defence up about our position. Just simply asking if anyone seriously thought Ipswich would win today.
A suppose you would think or hope that Notts forest might already be on the sun loungers but I’m not that confident we are good enough to take advantage of that .
No but I thought there was a decent chance of a Draw. Still after Derby’s abject display yesterday I can’t say I was surprised
Let's see if they're on the beach when we play them but then again I'm not confident that we're capable of beating a team playing in flip-flops.
So frustrating when you look at yesterday. We should all be celebrating not only a win, but a heavyish one at that. All would be well in tellytubby land.
They should be playing to either justify staying at the Club or getting a new contract for next season as any new manager normally has a " clear out" and brings his own players in. Lincoln's Dan Cowley and his brother are tipped to be the favourites to take over and unlike when he was linked with our vacancy, he's not yet ruled himself out.
If the Cowley’s had been appointed here we would have had at least four more points by now in my view. They would have been better equipped to select a team to scrap and firefight. We’d have beaten Bristol I reckon, to be fair we should have done anyway, but I really think games such as the Burton one would have gone differently. Morais will be given time and having been appointed he deserves it, he has to be given a chance, but I don’t think he was the right choice in the circumstances we were, and are, in. I think it will be in league one now unfortunately, but JM should be given a go next season and I reckon if it’s up to the club he will. I have a sneaking suspicion he might walk away though.
We should have beaten Bristol irrespective of who was in charge of the team. Players failed to take the chances, not the manager.
