Sunderland fans blaming Referee Scott Oldham for their failure to beat Burton Albion. Absolutely no comments on how well the opposition played which is a bit unfair. https://www.footballfancast.com/lea...d-fans-fume-at-referee-after-burton-stalemate
To be fair to them some do say Burton are the best side. Be interesting to see what they have to say about Coventry if they play as well as they did against us.
How many times do we on here predominantly sing the praises of other teams whenever we lose??? Almost never!
I don't watch Sunderland but I know just from watching our game and the quest efl show a handful of times they have have been given a pen from where pinnock made a inch perfect tackle on mcgeady and clearly won the ball. And jack payne put the ball over the line and didn't count so from what I've seen they have done okay this season decisions wise.
I wonder if that because a lot of us, who only attend home games this season have yet to see us defeated at Oakwell. ? Due to arthritis in my hip, I didn't manage to see many home games last season. I had to agree we were beaten by Fulham and were fullsome in our praise of them, but we probably also agreed, that had not Dimi got sent off, it could have been a different result. I certainly praised Villas performance when we lost to them 0-3 at home in September 2017 but again, in fairness,a misunderstanding between Davies and Jackson played a part in one of their goals and the third was again a momentary defensive lapse that allowed Keinan Davis to poke home from close range. Such is Villas strength in depth, the latter looked to be a real prospect , but yet he's had to be satisfied with a place on the bench in the past two campaigns. He'd probably be an automatic choice if he was with us. He's only 21and has represented England at U 21 level but can't seem to nail down a regular place in Villas first team.
I don't know I gave Donny plenty of praise after they came to us. I thought they were the best side to come oakwell, I've seen Plymouth given plenty of praise aswell after coming oakwell. Only last week people saying Coventry were decent.
I totally agree redrum. In my opinion, we were second best against Doncaster Rovers at Oakwell. It's a good job that Marquis didn't know the off side rule or we could have paid a very heavy price.
I think most Sunderland fans would admit they were poor against burton and nothing to do with the ref.
