Everything you need to know there ....the EFL, no rules only guidelines and as weak as dishwater.
Proper rules and proper regulation with suitable punishments required .

It is very difficult to be prescriptive about the rules surrounding what clubs can and cannot do. After all, Barnsley Football Club does not own its own stadium, and the stadium was 50% owned by the club's former owner. How does the EFL declare Barnsley to be innocent, whilst declaring Derby guilty. That does not mean that I think Derby are innocent of defrauding the EFL and by inference, every club that played in the Championship in 2017/18 season. It means that if the EFL want to run a fair and competitive game, they have to be a lot more careful about how they define the rules. You see, different rules apply to Leagues 1 and 2, but the owners of Championship clubs wanted more flexibility. They wanted to reward owners who were prepared to commit more financial resources. It is the owners who wanted flexibility, owners very much like the Middlesbrough owner, who now does not like that flexibility because he has suffered as a result. He should try managing Barnsley on a shoestring if he really wants a challenge. I also note that Middlesbrough are not accusing the EFL of wrongdoing in the way that they have managed Reading's and Sheffield Wednesday's cheating. They both escaped FFP rules using similar principles of deception. No they are suing the EFL because they believe Derby frustrated their chances of advancement. They care nothing about the rest the clubs in the Championship. They care nothing about the principles of Far Play. Frankly, I would be a lot more excited about this matter if Middlesbrough was doing this because they were interested in Fair Play for everyone, whereas they are interested only in Fair Play for Middlesbrough.

Should just do away with FFP it's a waste of time. Let these owners pump as much money in as they like (they do anyway)
