Derby County administrators are refusing to cut Wayne Rooneys 90k a week wages. They see him as an asset to the club who can attract future buyers. I think out of compassion for his club he should refuse wages until they are back on there feet. The debts Derby owe are quite scary including 150million to Mel Morris.
I'm not sure which I find more surprising there. That they have the option of just cutting his wages or that they'd choose not to. I don't know a great deal about administrators but i can't say I've ever seen a football clubs administrator do what I'd consider a good job. They always seem to make bad decisions and the club comes out worse than it went in
Has anyone asked Rooney if he wants to reduce his wage? I'm sure a man as wealthy as he would be more than willing to take one for the team...
I'd be furious if I was at John's ambulance for eg. Administration is supposed to work in the creditors favour.
