Eubank won a one sided fight where the result was never in doubt. One judge must have been watching with his dog and stick to have it so close even with two knock downs. Junior deserves credit for the job he did on a multi time world champion and gold medal winner. Degale fans playing it down saying he won because Degale is shot, his legs have gone and he's not been the same since Badou Jack fight. Yet the same people would have been talking him up if he had won.

De Gale has announced his retirement from boxing at the age of thirty three.
Given his defeat at the hands of Eubank Jnr, in my book that's a sensible decision.
States that "the game" is taking its toll on his body, so it's the right thing to do.

He’s struggled badly with injuries & not been the same since the brutal fight with Badou Jack.

Anything close to a prime DeGale would’ve absolutely toyed with Truax who he had two close fights with before the Eubank one. I think even Eubank himself knows he didn’t fight a version of DeGale that was anywhere near his best but that’s boxing, passing of the torch & all that.

For example I think a prime Klitschko would’ve sparked Joshua or a prime Haye would’ve sparked Bellew but that’s the sport if you need the money or can’t admit you aren’t up to it anymore someone inferior will beat you.
