Signed. Personally I think crimes committed in circumstances like these should warrant a more serious sentence than manslaughter.
Just awful. I see it all the time on my way to work, absolute bellends overtaking dangerously putting others at risk. Signed
Thanks for posting this TTTF. For I totally agree that this petition should be signed. For apart from the facts of the case, I saw the victim's father interviewed on television. Telling that as the sentence was announced, he and his family had to endure the sound of Malik's contemptible supporters celebrating the derisory sentence! I too agree that this case warrants a murder charge.
Aye signed by me. I was injured as a victim of someone driving like a maniac a few years ago. My leg still twinges on a cold day. The **** got very little comeback and made me very reluctant to drive.
Signed. My wife was landed in hospital for 4 months after a drunk hit her head on. It stood my wife's Scenic on its nose leaving her to escape through the sunroof with a smashed right shin, 3 broken ribs and her pelvis broken in 3 places. The drunken lovely person who hit her was racing his mate and doing 90 in a 50 limit, a closing speed of 140mph. He got 120 community hours and a 300 quid fine. The 2 year suspended sentence meant, and still means totally f**k all as far as I'm concerned. It's unlikely we'll ever meet as he left the area straight away. Probably a good thing in hindsight. Any way of making these tossers pay the right price gets my full support.
The maximum sentence for death by dangerous driving is 14 years. These guys got 8. That would be a better place to start, in my opinion.
I think that is due to the guilty plea that one entered straight away. Did they both get the same sentence? One should have got the maximum for pleading not guilty
Thanks to everyone who signed; a friend of mine posted it on Facebook after a friend of his died because of racing. A friend of mine died almost 2 years ago, and since then another 3 have been injured (all okay thankfully). It takes a second for it all to go horribly wrong, and its always the innocents who have to pay for their childishness. Thankyou!
