Just had the opportunity to watch this. Fantastic viewing. I went through every emotion going. From Pride watching the club get promoted and facing up to the best the Premiership provided. Disappointment of the relegation and absolute Anger of some very debatable decisions from some very dodgy refs. Mike Dean at Old Trafford and that pompous arrogant fat git v Liverpool. I know it's not right but he deserved a slap that day. But great entertainment and I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to watch a proud era of our club's history.
Loved it because it brought all those emotions back again. I think that's why I'm loving thus season so much, memories flooding back. Still.have to pinch myself to think we were ever in the Premiership.
It’s a fabulous film & achievement! It’s also history of 2 of the most incredible seasons in our history (club & town) - it also reminded me just why I hated Thatcher so much!
Where would you be without us Scots? Archie Taylor Cup winning captain. Club legend Ronnie Glavin. And John Hendrie gave a right good account of himself in the promotion season.
Don't forget Gerry Stewart worse goalie we ever had.. one of yours But seriouly heard some great storys about Billy McNeil this morning... Sounded a great man.. Rip
Gerry Stewart was an outstanding goalkeeper for us, Ian, old mate. However, he played in the early to mid '70's, which was an extremely poor period in Barnsley's history.
Thanks for that Kev. I had a sneaking suspicion that Spider was at it when he tried to convey that a Scottish keeper was cr@p.
Only time I've ever considered going onto the pitch during a game and I was stone cold sober but was seriously tempted to go on and punch several cheating scouse tossers and one bent or completely inept ref. Only the fact I had to consider my wife sat at home with two toddlers stopped me being stupid and probably ending up doing time.
