    He’s too early into his managerial career to have taken on that journeyman’s job. How many managers have tackled that job, failed, and never worked again I wonder?

    The only reason that I can see that made sense for him to take it, is that he's been allowed relegation so that he can start building them back up from league 1 within greater financial constraints which 'should' benefit them in teh longer term. Trouble is it won't as their fans and owner are largely delusional.
