The Dennis family were such. Cryne was. Both had faults and made mistakes. However, they were genuinely concerned about the club as a focal point for the town and as an integral part of the fabric of the community. They wanted BFC to do well just because its Barnsley! The current owners do not have the same attitude unfortunately and certainly do not seem to be genuine custodians for me. They are not concerned about the club's history, do not really care about the fans and are simply here to 'use' the club for their own material purposes. I won't be going anymore unless I see some genuine intent and empathy/sympathy from the current owners that they are actually concerned about me and other fans and that they really want Barnsley FC to do well for the community.
