We could be Washday- Brucey doesn't want to start until 1st Feb, after the transfer window is closed- cos he's got tickets for the cricket in the West Indies. Obviously far more enjoyable.

Doesn't fancy having only £1,000 to spend in the transfer window.

It's because he's lost both his parents only months apart and has asked for compassionate
time to help his immediate family in England and Ireland to come to terms with their loss and
tie up any loose ends concerning wills, property, assets etc.

Apparently he’d planned to go on this trip or his cricket mad Dad had who’s recently died or something along these lines & he wants to go out there. For all we know he could be going out there & spreading ashes with his family. End of the day Wednesday must be happy & understanding of his situation or they wouldn’t have agreed to it

Saw that story on Calendar. He's been helping his family to come to terms with their loss
and is planning to fulfil a lifetime ambition by watching cricket in the Caribbean and Wednesday have agreed to that.
The programme featured former Red Steve Agnew conducting the Press Conference in Bruce's
    absence.

Bruce had a horrible 2018. Losing both his parents, the play off final and his job. Can't blame him for wanting a bit more time out before he starts his next job. Wouldn't blame him if he never wanted to manage again.

Pretty sure he was one of the first to send a message through to congratulate us on our promotion to the prem in 97....

Seems like a decent fella to me!
