Where people can self diagnose and choose and select themselves as having coronavirus and whose phones will then be tracked with anyone coming into contact with them being warned they may also have it.

Utterly stupid idea that won't have any benefits whatsoever but will cause panic

Especially when people get a cold and self diagnose as being at deaths door or the trolling *beeps* select themselves deliberately so they can cause panic

Nah...it's a great idea, then the phone companies, google, and all the "social" media platforms they sell your data to can serve you up "relevant ads tailored to your location and contact experience"

Actually a very good idea, that might be one of the key ways that we can beat this. Testing and contact tracing are the way forward. Seems to be having some effect in Singapore.

Testing yes contact tracing where you can self diagnose is just crazy.

If it was contact tracing of confirmed cases it would be brilliant but it isn't it's essentially I download the app and I can just tick yes I've got it and everyone I come into contact with will be notified and panicked

It would be good if it could be used with a testing kit that has a barcode and then you could upload your test result.
