With a view to a summer move or a Christmas contract ready for end of season. His favouite boyhood Scotish Club.
Even though Celtic are his boyhood club I can't see someone so ambitious wanting to take a backward step of playing in a one team league and in front of small crowds in all away games apart from against Rangers.
No disrespect to Celtic but stepping down a level in terms of majority of the opposition. Even hemmings scored goals at that level. OK for the money, but for a footballer wanting to test himself at the highest level? Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
I can understand it. Deluded is a bit over the top. Granted they have a huge fan base, and can give him the chance to test himself against some of Europe's elite, albeit only for six games before they get convincingly knocked out of the Champions League group stages. Then they're back to playing the eleven teams in their home division, the majority of which would probably struggle to impress in League One. They may be close to his heart, but he can do better.
That's 6 more games than he'll ever play for us in the Champions league. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
And he gets a league winner's medal every season! More dosh. And saying he gets to play only 6 games in Europe is like saying he's stuck now in a boring English inferior league. Which of course he isn't. Cos it won't be boring if we lose a few more..
Well, that's pretty obvious. I wasn't saying it would be a backwards move, but the perks of playing half a dozen Champions League games are surely outweighed by the poor standard of their domestic league. Hopefully he gets a chance in the Premier League.
