How many forwards do we need odour,olare,isyka,woodrow,Morris,victor,freiser,Cole the other lad who came on as a sub v Bolton. Not to mention schmidt and Miller.
He's 27 and has a crap record previously. His record this season is likely to be statistical variance.
David Currie failed at Middlesbrough and blossomed at Darlington. We took him for £150,000 and turned him into a star. Bound to be interest in him, so why not us? As for we've already got plenty of forwards........they're not scoring many are they?
Given his record at his age, what makes you think he would score at this level under this system and manager?
So David Currie was mediocre at one club? That's a bit different to this Stockton bloke who, in his career so far, has already been mediocre for (deep breath): Tranmere, Vauxhall Motors, Southport, Morecambe, Hearts, Carlisle, Tranmere again, Wrexham and Morecambe again.
Considering his age, and goal record prior to the last 2 seasons (barring a decent spell in the conference with Tranmere), I think it would be a big leap for him to step up to the championship at this stage in his career.
Three of them have hardly played (or not played at all!) A bit tricky to score from the dressing room.
I know and all good in a few weeks maybe. But if we’re still struggling at the end of the year we’ll have to have a rethink. I just like the look of Stockton from the bits shown on quest. He gets in scoring positions and more than likely lashes it in. Instinctive goal scorers are rare.
