So for the first goal I thought that Sollbauer actually did the right thing, he's trying to play it out but Ritzmaier for some bizarre reason decided to either pass it back to him or pass it to Halme, I'm not a hundred percent clear on who he was aiming for. Halme should've reacted a lot quicker but Ritzmairer is mostly to blame in my opinion, you could maybe get away with that kind of stuff in the Austrian league or PSV reserves but not against Tammy Abraham. For the record I've defended Ritzmaier quite a bit, I think the abuse he gets can go too far but that pass was a bad one and a bad decision.
The second goal was just good football, I knew we were in big trouble after that.
Mowatt for their third, probably trying to do too much but where were the defenders, it's not like he had zero options but Mowatt seemed to be the only Barnsley player within like 15-20 yards lol.
Was it Sollbauer for the next one? I only watched highlights from this point without commentary but I have no idea what he was doing. We play a high press but as shown here, Chelsea do it much better than us. Our players constantly panicking and making mistakes.
Then Chelsea scored again.. And then Chelsea scored again.

This season is feeling eerily like last season. Even against CHELSEA we manage to create chances and have it count for absolutely nothing. Admittedly I didn't watch the full game, but when I was watching I don't feel like we deserved to be 2-0 down and judging from the fact that at least 4 of their goals were from mistakes, I'm going to assume 6-0 is a pretty harsh scoreline.. And that's exactly the problem, and it's the problem all too frequently.

I'm usually one of the more positive posters on here, and I get the arguments from the people staying positive about this honestly I do.. How much their team cost, how we were never expected to win, how the league is more important etc etc. I get it, and I understand.. But the players just looked SO deflated, and if you're a serious professional football team of any standard then losing 6-0 should always be unacceptable I don't care who you're against. You should never be happy or content with losing 6-0 and if any of our players are then they should get out the sport. Some people don't think Jacob Brown is a big loss, I personally do, his assist statistics speak for themself.

But anyway, let's go and beat Coventry this weekend. Forget this "bogey team" nonsense, QPR are one of our "bogey teams" and beating them last season is what started our journey to surviving in this league. It only takes one performance at this stage for the fans to believe and have some optimism again. A great performance this weekend, hopefully at least a couple of new faces in the team by the end of the deadline and this bad start can be forgotten about. Make no mistake about it, this has been a bad start to the season, but I haven't lost any hope yet and I'm still fully with the team. LETS GO BARNSLEY. COME ON YOU REDS.
