I maintain, definitely our best option at right-back. Not sure why it’s ever in doubt.

Because he switches off, makes rash challenges, and sometimes looks like he can’t be arsed.

Still our best right back though.

Although l like him, Cavares decision making at times is shocking and neither full back has a clue about marking a winger.

    Unmarked winger, unmarked striker.

It was quite odd, the way they left them both.

And that one with the woodwork being hit twice, how bad was the marking from the two centre halves from the through ball.

Basics of football that the defence are shocking with.

Because he cost us every goal and looked a liability all game?

Cancel contract, play a foetus instead.

He would be better further up the field.

I thought Cavare had an o.k game but if he's going to maraud forward he needs to find a red shirt before he trips over his own feet.

As for J. Williams he needs to be played as a winger or in midfield. Good going forward and can put the boot in but he isn't a defender. He hasn't got the positional awareness and his body language second half suggests he doesn't like the uglier side of the game.

Cavare definitely responsible for their 3rd goal.
    Switched off.

Did you watch the game? Jordan William's been all over the place out of position and giving their winger the freedom of Barnsley didnt help any of the goals.

Everything you wrote there is bang on. He makes mistakes, he switches off, he does some mental stuff, but he's still by far the best option. To take him off today and leave Williams on...

Maybe try and watch the goals back and see if you want to change your assessment of Cavare from ok to catastrophic.

We’re asking a very young kid with virtually no experience to play out of position. So I can cut Williams some slack... it’s not his fault recruitment was so bad.

Cavaré, is one of our older and experienced players left, he’s still as bad as he’s always been.

    Perhaps why Stendel subbed him.

I don’t think he’s played particularly well in the last 2 games yet he’s still our best full back which I think says more about the others than him
