First goal was absolutely key on Tuesday, as it was tonight. If we'd held out longer than 4 minutes we may have won. But we never come from behind to win so as soon as we conceded moral dropped and it ended up being a comfortable defeat, as usually happens when we fall behind. Bristol got their early goal and controlled the game after.
Yup mate. Leeds home game Jan 2017, game on Sky. 1-0 down, won 3-2. Hourihane free kick and Kent scored in front of Ponty
Surely not? That really is embarrassing/ worrying if the case. We have won an awful lot of football matches since that date too. Just goes to show how important that first goal is.
Sorry, to clarify it's the last time we've come from behind in the Championship since 2017. We had a few come from behind victories in the promotion season in L1
Thanks, that really does sound a whole lot better. I thought surely not, but then I couldn’t think of an occasion quickly in my head. Also, it might sound unbelievable, but following BFC stats like that usually are the reality.
Thanks for clarifying @Tyke_67. In that case I wonder when we last won in the Championship after conceding first away from home!
That would be the Cardiff City away game on December 17 2016, when we went 1-0 down, the leading 3-1 at HT from a brace of Winnall goals and a goal from Josh Scowen. Cardiff scored 2 late goals to make it 3-3 but Ryan Williams scored an even later goal to win it 4-3 in the 5th minute of stoppage time
