I’m not a Grand Prix fan but just caught sight of an aerial view for todays race and what an impressive setting !
It’s next to a river or even on it ?

Anyone with any knowledge of its history or even been ?

The river is generally part of the circuit when they race in Canada.

Didn’t they build an island with the rubble from something else? Jumble Lane?

The Isle de Montreal was built from excavated rock and rubble when they built Montreal's underground in the 50s / 60s.

Essentially a man made island and yes, visually stunning

Man made ! that is something you’d expect in the Emirates.
    Thanks for info
