That if a woman falsely cries rape, with proof it was false, that she should serve time? Personally I think they should serve a minimum of 4 years, just enough to destroy her and her family's life a little. It's a sinister evil thing to do. Especially to someone who has a good job and earns his way in life. To me they aren't women they're just lowlife scum whores.
Christ, where to start?? There was no proof it was false, just not enough proof to convict the accused. Very, very different things. Is it safe for you to be out?
If it was proven beyond all reasonable doubt that she was lying and the charges were fabricated then yes she should be given a custodial sentence. This is different to there not being enough to prove that she was raped however.
No grey areas for you then ol' Athersley Red. Tell it like it is. Can you turn your attention to witch dunking now please?
So let's just say a woman was raped/sexually abused and the woman reports it but there isn't enough evidence to convict (there were only those two people in the building, no cameras, no proof that it wasn't consensual etc. etc. in short, not enough evidence for a definite guilty verdict). Your suggestion is that because the rapist/abuser was not found guilty the woman has to serve 4 years in jail, on top of being raped and no-one believing her. Do you honestly believe anyone would ever report a rape again?
How do you prove beyond all reasonable doubt? Genuine question because other than permission forms and voice recordings I'm struggling to fathom how this is possible. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Ok probably not the family's life. This kind of thing gets to me as Ive heard numerous stories from people who have had their lives ruined by it. Someone as young as 17 took their own life because a girl accused him, then 2 weeks later said it never happened. But it stuck.
If there was complete undeniable proof that a woman had made it up then she should have the exact same punishment as people currently get for knowingly falsely accusing people of any crime. I don't know what that punishment is but I don't see why it should be different in this instance to all others.
I understand that mate, and Although I don't know you, you seem a decent sort. I just jumped in because I would hate my family to be accountable for any unsavoury actions that I was responsible for.
I'm referring to the people who "cry wolf" as it appears to be referred to. Do do as the OP has suggested you'd have to know beyond all doubt. And even then it seems a bit harsh giving their family **** too. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
