Tonight on Sky. Bit of an odd game to have on a Monday night on TV. Unless there's some weird rivalry that's passed me by, like the Palace Brighton one.
It’s because it’s the start of an international break so there’s no Monday night football from the top two divisions which means they pick a game from the bottom two tiers instead
Aye, I get that, but I thought they'd have picked one of the pre-season favourites, like a Bolton or Derby game.
Err no sir, it is not lol. It does bring about the question though... Which is the 'best' rivalry in footy, or in any sport ?.
Maybe it was seen as a safe bet? Bolton’s game with us called off. Derby’s got Hourihane & maybe others. I suppose they’ve got to pick a game where there’s no chance of it been called off due to call ups.
I guess they’ve got to pick a game where there’s no chance of it been called off at late notice due to one of the sides having 3 or more international players. Which rules out Bolton, Pompey & probably a few more league one sides so it’s probably not a random choice.
