They're in no man's land in terms of the brand. They were at the forefront of the craft beer explosion but now there's much better beer available for people who are into craft beer, and much cheaper beer available for people who aren't particularly into it.

The "punk" thing now rings completely hollow given they're a massive, massive company and there's been numerous PR **** ups and poor behaviour. It also doesn't help that the founder is a Nimitz-class bellend.

I'm a bigger lover of craft beer etc but there's some ridiculous snobbery around it, some of it takes awful at ridiculous prices.
Brewdog were quite early before the big boom, now the market is flooded with literally thousands and more choice.
Some of their stuff is OK but some of the newer stuff I've tried just tastes like older stuff discontinued and rebranded for more money.
They've self cannibalilised and got caught with a market flooded with choice.

Maybe if the owner spent more time focussed on their own finances rather than government spending they wouldn't be in this mess.

Also 90% of their beers are vile, the remainder are mediocre

Saw that. Was very surprised, considering their worldwide reach.

Brewdog is a company I have very mixed feelings about. On the one hand they seem to have become the absolute antithesis of everything they claim to stand for. On the other hand, they're probably responsible more than any other company for millions of people discovering that there's a lot more out there than Stella and Carling.

Far overpriced for what it is. Wetherspoons fo real ales at 1.99 a pint that are just as good if not better than a Brewdog pint for a fiver more.

    Ouch.

Nice tipple is Macallan. You're lucky it wasn't one of their really expensive bottles, although you'd hope no-one would leave those on the bar!!

It's all right but doesn't stand out amongst the crowd anymore. So many local breweries doing more interesting stuff. I get bought the odd pack for Christmas and that's the only time I drink it.

Punk is only around £3.50 at spoons iirc, can be less if they've got it on offer. To be honest can't understand how the breweries make any sort of profit on those offers. Church House in Wath had Jaipur on at some insanely cheap price the other week. Was either £1.99 or £2.99.

I had a bit of a dispute in brewdog in Newcastle and was told if I didn't like it to f**k off, so I f**ked off and have never spent anything with them since. Hope they go bust.

Joseph Brammahs has Jaipur at 1.99 a pint not long since. I was in before the Huddersfield game and they were doing Bradfield brewery at the same price.

    Bargain.

Forget his name but what happened to the guy who used to post on here that was a marketer for Brewdog? Nice lad, did the interviews over the Covid period.

Brewdog is a vile company with a vile culture and a vile owner knocking out vile beer under the guise of ‘craft’ which it jettisoned probably a decade ago.

He thinks he’s Elon musk and wants to debunk overseas so he pays no uk tax. While delaying his marriage to a plastic reality …. star?!?!? So he doesn’t have to pay tax on the investment into her ‘business’.

I read about a month ago that the punk ipa line is literally hung on Wetherspoons sales. I know it’s a bit much expecting Wetherspoons to be moral and ethical, but it would be somewhat entertaining to see them pull it.

Also saw brewdog had closed 10 sites including their hq taproom and first London bar.

    Death spiral.
