Played in their new stadium today, Pinnock scored their 1st goal, a good header and then made an horrendous balls up for Wycombes equaliser. The seats have given me headache. https://www.skysports.com/football/brentford-vs-wycombe/report/428547
I think its OK, not the standard boring bowl that many have now, and tbf to build a new stadium in London, close to their old one isnt bad going, the Land they had as well to build on was tiny, probably why its shaped the way it is, to make the most of the postage stamp sized foot print, its definitley different though
Seems they’ve focussed more on the hospitality side of things rather than the typical working man fan if you like. The concourses look awful and boring, could’ve done so much with that. Give me the ponty or east concourse over them anyway. I was looking forward to seeing the finished article, especially with the design different to the typical bowl type they all have now. But that is disappointing in my opinion.
Agreed with the hospitality but they probably would do being based in London, its probably used 5/6 times a week. The stadiums only slightly bigger than Donnys. Don't like the pitch view but the facilities underneath look well, if you're a potential new signing being shown around you'd be impressed with that.
Aren't we trying to replicate the look down at Grove Street slipping a few white seats in here and there.
I quite like it, same as mentioned above most players these days will be more interested in facilities etc rather than nostalgia. Didn't they used to conduct tours of oakwell?
