Because we are who we are we have not allowed ourselves to descend into absolute hopeless despair and have chosen our new little companion for the next however many years. Time is precious for us and having shed bucket loads of tears for our Brad who will be forever in our hearts we have already decided to devote our time to the next little man. It was not easy to do and Brad will never be replaced but time marches on so we decided to act now to give a new puppy hopefully a new and rewarding life. His name already decided by me is Finch and we should be bringing him home in a couple of weeks. The wonderful thing about this is that the puppies all live in the next village to us. It was pure coincidence we found them locally. Meant to be.
He's beautiful. Hope he brings you many years of happiness. Coincidentally, I've got a pet Finch called Dog.
He looks great, though I suspect those "aren't I cute" eyes are hiding something that's going to be a bundle of trouble :
Oh, I'm in love ! There's nothing like a border collie. A most wonderful breed. He's beautiful. Keep us posted ofhis progress. X
Get Ready. Our daughter has just bought one. As a matter of fact, he looks a lot like yours. Because she works, he is currently spending a lot of time with us. We are both retired. It is fair to say that we had forgotten what pups are like. Our old boy, another BC, is 13. The pup cannot go out and mix until his last injection, which is this week, so he has no-one to take all his frustrations out on but us. He is already armed with a gob full of needle sharp teeth, which he uses on us whenever he gets the chance. He is either running around like a mad thing, biting things, eating things that he shouldn't, winding up our old dog by jumping at his face: or he is asleep. In his mad periods, he tests us to see which buttons produce a reaction, and when he finds one, he presses it over and over and over again. I had forgotten what pups are like and I think that I am getting too old to cope. We would not swap him for the world.
We are getting geared up for TROUBLE !! It's over 15 years since our two boys were puppies so I have gone a bit rusty. Plenty of kitchen towels required.
what a beautiful boy, you did right to go for him. 4 years ago we lost our lovely lad Owyn (in my profile piccy) within the week we found Lizzie and brought her home. She chose us not the other way around...she was all over Ann my wife when we went to see the litter so it was a match made in heaven. Brad as with Owyn will never be replaced.....but you have a new friend to help you along lifes trail as we have with Lizzie.... I am made up for you and yours fella. BTW we all expect progress reports along the way...
