Not in the squad today. Anyone heard anything about him being injured, or do we think he might be in the squad for the first team tomorrow?

I'd be surprised if he's not involved in some capacity tomorrow night. He's clearly too good to be playing in the 23s, judging by his goal return, despite being out of position.

Unless he is of course injured.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see him in the squad. About to play 3 games in a week again. Don’t know a great deal about him, but had read he’d been playing right midfield and moved up front. We’ll probably need cover for Woodrow and Brittain at some point

I hope it's the former. His form in the U23s does warrant involvement in the first team. It would be nice to see him on the subs bench tomorrow night

U23's just gone a goal up, winning 1-0 :) Thompson scored

He's older than most of our first team as well, which I find odd. Although of course his first team experience has been limited to Matlock Town from what I can gather, so he's much less experienced.

Hope it's a sign that he's on the bench tomorrow night in place of one of few that get in the squad that I doubt will be around for next season and don't have a future with us.

If he's good enough start him. Can't do any worse than Frieser or Chaplin. I'd go Bramall, Adeboyejo and Woodrow. That said I thought that Chaplin looked sharp in his wide play against Birmingham and Bournemouth.

The only problem with him been in the squad is it probably means someone’s got injured as no players who have been making the bench like Miller or Schmidt are having a game for the U23’s today.

Just hope it’s not an important player.

Hope that's not the case. Can see why the coach might just want an extra player available given the number of games we're playing

Interesting that Green hasn't got a look in - surely he'd be an option either as one of our wide forwards or a wing back!
