For me now it is a matter of prioritising our own players. So Bradshaw ahead of Armstong; Hammill/ Hedges/ Williams ahead of Kent.
I'd be starting with Bradshaw and Marley up front, and as we have plenty of options on the wing, use the others there, in rotation.

I rate Armstrong but I think he hasn't done enough with his ability this season.

Not sure with Mowatt. I just don't think he fits yet. Not to say I think he's bad, but it's similar to when Conor first came, we struggled to find a balance with him in the team.

I agree with the exception of Mowatt. That's not the Barnsley way, he hasn't hit the ground running therefore he's ****

Our own striker Bradshaw puts himself about when he doesn't get a goal in a game, but can't get regular starts.

Armstrong has a poorer scoring record and looks Winnall lazy off the ball, but gets more starts. It's got to me down to him being a loanee and something about him having to play as with Kent.

In the past when I was sort of friendly with a few players there was nothing they hated more than being in and out of the team. I'm sure Bradshaw and Hammill feel the same.

I reckon they'd probably hate it more if they were never in the team

    I'm not sure that's true.

Yesterday Armstrong was caught offside in their box. We were 1-0 down and chasing the game. He kicked the ball away so QPR couldn't take the free kick, and this wasted yet more time, which we needed to get back into the game. He then strolled back towards the half way line.

He ought to take a lesson from Bradshaw with work-rate.

And also last night both Josh Scowen and Marley were nowhere near the players of several weeks back. Not quite going through the motions, but definitely lacking that fire and passion that we associate with them.

I stand to be shot down but they are likely to have deals lined up elsewhere. So don't want injuries.

It's got to be 'our' players from now until the end of the season. Common sense.
I'm not anti-Kent ....... think he's a bit of a Billy Big ****** at times but he's done OK mostly. But he's never going to be ours.
I'm not anti-Armstrong, but similar to Kent, you can tell he thinks (knows?) he is bigger than us. He made a lightning fast run to chase a ball down vs Derby, but I'd rather see a slower Bradshaw do that ALL game than him do it ONCE per game.
James is a luxury that is not ours, but he plays like he means it, so I'd keep him in.
Jones I'd keep in the team cos I don't think we have an option. Needs to find the level he did against Leeds though.

    For Saturday:
    Davies
    Yids, McD, Roberts, Jones
    Scowen, James, Moncur, Hammill
    Watkins, Bradshaw.

    that is 'mostly' our lads.

From the bench, I'd be happy to give Jackson a run out. I like Angus, but I feel he is tiring. He has exceeded expectations, and game-time this season.
And I'd give Mowatt time too, as he is part of the longer term plan. Him and Moncur 45 mins each.
I'd toy with the idea of swapping sides, Yids for Jones.
If we struggle with that line-up, throw Kent and Armo on, tell them to show us what they can do.

Agree with that. In my opinion, that's our strongest team at the moment.
