3-0 nearly half time. Looking at the Cherries in this game it’s hard to believe how they managed to blow us away a few weeks ago. I really hope they continue their slide and don’t go straight back up driven by their parachute money.
Didn't think much of reading when we played them we were much the better side before we went down to ten. Obviously they are a good team and the table doesn't lie but against us they weren't all that good.
We need to put Wednesday behind us. Watching that both teams opened up and that could have been 8-6. Back to us we're not far away. Tuck in a bit more at full back and stop balls coming in and we'll start picking the Readings and Bournemouths off. Reason being they can't grind it out. Especially Bournemouth. They downed collective tools tonight **** defence all out attack. You haven't lost until the final whistle. 3-0 down doesn't mean games gone attack, attack, attack no discipline. It means get back in game, chin up chances 'll present themselves lads. Bournemouth pulled a goal back in 87th minute and had two guilt edged chances after that. Valeries point about staying in the game never rang truer.
What you reckon to them? I don't think they were crap. I just think they'll kick themselves watching that back. The three goals were gifts. Reading actually squandered the chances they fashioned out themeselves.
Muff weren't that good against us until we gifted them their 2nd goal on the stroke of half time. Looked suspect defensively and we really should've at least been level at the break, but a stupid error put us 2-0 down and from then on they just sat back and picked us off. It's hard to say how Reading looked against us because they were playing against 10 and then 9 men for half the game, still only managed to win 2-0 mind. I'm surprised how they've come back after a poor run, which itself followed an amazing start. Think the top 6 will stay as they are, none of Stoke, Boro or even us are capable of clawing their way in.
Reading are so financially doped it's ridiculous. Can't begin to see how they're complying with FFP. Their accounts must be scary.
Reading were paying over double their turnover on wages and Bournemouth recently lost £32 million before they were relegated - could be worse now. Both hugely dependent on their investors and vulnerable. Some say we could easily be the next Wigan, but I disagree. There is a biggish queue ahead of us for that. If our owners walked away I’d be more worried about the next ones coming in.
