Seems a bit late to call it off now - surely they could have called it off earlier Forest fans are a bit miffed Rumour is stadium is damaged
Forest have asked for the game to be played tomorrow as well but Bournemouth have said nope. The weather down there is horrible today, but I wonder why it hasn't been moved to tomorrow. Edit: just seen the news about the stand.
Apparently it was proposed to play the game tomorrow, Forest agreed but Bournemouth refused. Ridiculous!
Sorry for the fans travelling from Nottingham. The forecast of serious storm conditions has been known for days. Deduct Bournemouth 3 points & give them to us. We need them more.
They were going to throw their home made nano probes into the storm from an excellent vantage point on the gantry. The data collected would have been vital in tracking the storm for the EFL. Needless to say they're gutted.
Tinpot ground what a joke. EFL should force them to play it tomorrow. No reason at all why it shouldn't be. Forest are already down there and the weather is better.
I am curious to know how you know that there is no reason why the game cannot be played tomorrow ? There could be damage done to the ground or access to the ground , who knows , there could be a number of reasons .
Obviously some Forest fans will be southern based so will not have travelled far but why would you travel all the way from Nottingham knowing what kind of weather has been around all day, especially on the south coast? No sympathy from me I’m afraid. Some people just don’t use any common sense. I mean - what part of “do not travel unless your journey is essential” don’t they understand??
The storm was forecast days ago. The emergency services advised people not travel. My wife's work closed for the day as did many more, schools too. I cannot believe that the fixture was not cancelled sooner, ridiculous.
I wonder how many more games will be postponed tomorrow because of the weather. At present it's only 1, but I reckon it'll be in double figures. Makes you wonder why more of tomorrows games haven't been postponed today to save people travelling. Mercifully for Barrow's fans, their game away at Exeter is the first to be called off, but imagine say Swindon or Portsmouth fans who have long journeys up to Carlisle and Crewe tomorrow. Some of them will be setting off pretty early.
