    Half of the famous comedy act Cannon and Ball has sadly passed away after testing positive for Covid. Loved watching these on TV in the 70's and managed to catch them live on the pier at Blackpool. Be sadly missed- #rockontommy

    Very sad. Once had a chat with him on Blackpool prom and he was every bit as funny and engaging as he was in his day job, which was a relief as you worry about public persona being fake and away from the cameras someone being a dick.

    He was excellent in Mount Pleasant which everyone should watch for a laugh.

    RIP Bobby, legend.

    Met Cannon and Ball when I was 7 on Britannia Pier at Great Yarmouth, was made up loved em when I was a nipper. Saw em live as well on that holiday. 1st time I was took to the cinema i saw their film The Boys in Blue.

    Saw them at Scarborough Futurist when I was about 11 or 12. I remember it was funny, but my parents complaining about it being a little adult for "the kids"....

    Saw them at Bournemouth Winter Gardens at the height of their fame. Very funny.
    Saw Russ Abbott there as well. Sketch trying to fire Bella Emberg out of a Cannon
    absolutely hilarious. So sad to hear of his passing. RIP Bobby.
