To sell the spine of the team that had gone on a record breaking run to promotion said more about the boards attitude than any of us cared to believe. The nail in the coffin was the sale Pinnock and Moore ( who had 2 years on his contract to go). The increase in revenue from the sale of Lynsey and moving up to the championship would have paid for any necessary replacements. But D Stendel wasnt even given a fighting chance to establish us in the championhip. same as Hecky before him, Daniel S became flustrated with the situation and left.He made some mistakes as all managers do but felt unable to do anything
about the sale of players. I mean even in January the tempt of cash even led to the sale of Potts when going for promotion. I think the board have seiously ömisjudged or don't care about the thoughts and feelings of Barnsley FC. This sweet shop attitude won't wash with the fans who know that selling your best players does not make a team better only worse. I feel sorry for any new manager as the loss of local lad Hecky and Daniel in the same circumstances in a couple of years means they are taking on a poisoned chalice of a club and fans alienated by this board.
