Blimey, it was a bit rough getting out of the club car park last night

Barnsley66 & I just stood back & waited whilst the congestion eventually began to clear. It gave us the opportunity to see Hicksy & Gally clearing up Redfearn's Bar. However, when Bondy came walking past he claimed we looked like Statler & Waldorf!:D
Great to see Arabian Ian, Sparky & his daughter earlier. Wonderful company. Also, Whitey collared me with his camera, quizzing me about how I thought the season was going and what the score would be. I guessed correctly for the result, but wrongly predicted Marley Watkins would be the scorer.
What an atmosphere last night and I feel we've proved again we deserve to be competing in the Championship. I can't remember the last time we had such a strong squad, which allows us to bring on from the bench such quality as Winnall, Hammill and Armstrong. It's great being a Barnsley fan just now.

Don't know what the problem was with the car park but nothing moved for 20 minutes in the bottom right hand corner. By the time I got out the surrounding roads were empty.

Probably because the front car belonged to two blokes who were waiting for the congestion to clear.

Just to put things into perspective, I was back home near Lincoln, by 10.50 pm.
Hope you'd got out of the car park by then !!

You were there that long I thought both of you were handcuffed to the railings. Thanks for all the help clearing up, by the way! ;) Retired indeed! :)

Statler and Waldorf... Now you come to mention it!

    Good to see you both

The organisation and layout of the car park is a mess, it doesn't allow clear flow out, there is not real control in cars coming in. There is no traffic management to aid everyone leaving at the same time. It's dangerous and gridlocked at the end of games. The club have done nothing other than say park right if you head to town park left if you head towards Lundwood. I have raised the issue many times as when crowd get bigger the car park is worse. Drivers show little courtesy for allowing filtering. There are consultants that specialise in this and can solve these issues with some planning. I'm guessing those that would sanction this don't experience the chaos at end of games. To make it worse a lot of staff who leave late but arrive early park and hence block the first few rows on the right bottom corner. All with £4 for the privilege. Can't think of any positives to balance my own argument.

I use the word 'retired' (as it's true), but it's a pathetic, pitiful way of avoiding the phrase 'bone idle, old git'!:D
