Very interesting comments from Clinton Morrison on Sky Sports at the end of today's game. He was a young player coming through the ranks at Crystal Palace when big Val was a player there. Morrison said he was very surprised when IV was appointed as our coach but has been pleasantly surprised at how well he has done since he came in. He remarked that Val was definitely not one to be messed with and would imagine that our boys would certainly give him the respect he deserves as he ( Morrison) would not like to have " crossed" him. I was very impressed as to how IV was bellowing out orders to our defenders at certain parts of the game. When Buenda who scored the only goal against us at Carrow Road was brought on, IV shouted at our defenders " beware" and pointed towards Buenda who is touted as the best forward in the Championship. Very pleasing that even with him and Hughill who has changed hands for a collective £15 million in his last two moves in their team today, Norwich didn't manage a single attempt on target during the whole game.
He shouted something else after beware but the commentator talked over him so I didn't catch was he was saying. Having seen what Buenda did at Carrow Road VI must have thought it appropriate to give the defence the warning. They obviously heeded it because he hardly featured.
