The fa: chooses not to suspend allardyce
    Barnsley: suspends wright immediately

The fa: allardyce leaves by mutual consent after signing a confidentiality agreement (pay off alert)
    Barnsley: sacks weight

Well done Patrick and/or Linton. Swift and decisive action and a clear message sent out. Proud to support a club who are tougher on scum like this than the fa is.

Allardyce resigned and forfeited his pay off - if you believe reports from certain journalists today.

I bet he didn't. Hes a greedy piece of scum like Tommy wright is. There is no way he would have willingly forfeited any potential pay out and if he had he wouldn't have signed any confidentiality agreement.

Anyway my point was that Barnsley sacked wright, the fa didn't sack allardyce because Barnsley FC have more morals than the fa does

What you're saying completely contradicts the whole of the TalkSport show this morning. Not saying you're wrong like, just what's been reported.

The FA didn't sack him and weren't given a decision to make because Allardyce handed his notice in. He'll be back in the game within two months. Sunderland and Villa fans are already starting campaigns to get him a job.

The official line was contract terminated by Mutual consent.
Im guessing the FA wanted him gone with as little fuss as possible so agreeing a termination with gagging and no suing for wrongful dismissal was in their interests to get him out as fast and cleanly as possible

If they just sacked him he could speak freely and even sue for wrongful dismissal if he chose - he would probably lose but I guess the FA didnt want to take the chance

More meals? surely the FA has a lot more Dinners than BFC

Had I been the fa I would refuse to accept his resignation and then sack him to make a point

The view from the journo world is that Allardyce attended his hearing, explained the situation, admitted he was wrong, and it was then Allardyce who told the FA he would be resigning as manager.

    No pay out (allegedly).

Small point but dont contracts work both ways - he cant just resign out of a 3 year contract and walk away with no consequences can he. or whats to stop players on 5 year contracts resigning and then signing up for someone else and pocketing the transfer fee

Its rubbish isn't it. It's supposed to monitor what you type and then predict more accurately based on what you normally write. So surely it shouldn't be predicting the crap it does with me, if it was any good at monitoring what I type it would predict that all my spelling mistakes should have been whinges and moans

That's what I mean, if he's offered his resignation then it must have been accepted by the fa or they could have forced him to stay but accepting a resignation doesn't set any kind of precedent. Actually sacking him would so they could have refused his resignation and then sacked him.

Everything that's wrong with society today captured right there: morals substituted for meals.
