Nathan James was supposed to be great last pre season. Does anyone watch the reserves on here who can comment on him?

    Dyer maybe not Marsh.

We've a year in our favour with Humprhys so that's weird.

I hope you’re right in a way but I dont see it at all. I really love seeing young local lads represent us, but they’ve got to be good enough and unfortunately as it stands, he’s a long way off.

Strong statement. Why do you say that. ? And I truly wish the lad all the best. A nephew of a friend on here. So I allus look out for him. But sometimes they have to move on, not only for themselves, but the club. With others breaking through from the academy.

I'm sure Bobby will have discussed with Conor his thoughts. Hence I imagine why 3 of those offered contracts are forwards. not including Humphries. Who I hope signs a deal.

The stats for players from youth teams and Academy's. (Admitted Marsh went pro. And that may help) That fail to make a career are frightening.

Letting Marsh go won’t bite us in anyway, we all wanted him to do well but simple fact is he’s not good enough for our level.
Now should Sormaz stay and summer recruitment is as bad as January the. We may see him L2 the following season but he won’t get a L1 team.

Yes I rated him highly ,very surprised he was released at his age,as he won't be on a fortune.
This one may come back to bite us up the arse

He's 22 he's been here under plenty of head coaches had numerous loan spells and never kicked on. Probably best all round hope he finds another club gets playing regularly and gets his career back on track.

Jordan Clark was also deemed not good enough, ended up being a premier league player. I’m sure there’s a few more players the club have released and proved wrong. Happens all the time.
Not Barnsley but Jamie Vardy is a high profile example, Wednesday binned him off at 16.
Marsh will be a decent national league player, he might be a late developer. Who knows, Nathan James might be a mistake!
