Oliver Wilkinson has captained England U16 this afternoon against Italy in Rome. The 15-year old defender came off the bench to wear the captain’s armband in a 5-0 defeat to Italy. Wilkinson featured for the Young Lions earlier this week, scoring the second goal in a 3-2 win against Italy. Oliver made his professional debut for the Reds last week, becoming the club’s youngest senior starter in our Bristol Street Motors Trophy tie with Manchester United U21s.
