Barnsley Football Club is proud to announce BAPP for Bolts as the new sponsor of the South Stand at Oakwell in a three-year agreement. The stand will now officially be named the ‘BAPP for Bolts Norman Rimmington Stand’. This partnership marks a significant milestone as BAPP for Bolts celebrates a decade of involvement with the Reds. In recognition of their long-standing support, the Barnsley-based company has extended their commercial partnership with the Club until the end of the 2027/28 season. Founded in Barnsley over 50 years ago, BAPP for Bolts has grown into the largest independent fastener distributor in the UK, supplying fasteners, tools, and health & safety products to companies across the UK and beyond. Their journey is a testament to dedication, quality, and the strength of local roots. Lifelong Barnsley fans, joining the Reds as a partner in 2015, BAPP have been an ever-present supporter of the Club, previously sponsoring shorts, holding an executive box, and maintaining a strong presence around Oakwell. This new agreement takes that partnership to new heights. Darren Hayes, Chief Commercial Officer at Barnsley FC, said: “We are delighted that BAPP for Bolts will be the new sponsors of the Norman Rimmington Stand. BAPP are one of the largest businesses in the Barnsley area and it’s fantastic to see their continued support of the Club in such a prominent way. As a Club, we are committed to working with local companies, and now the BAPP name will be one of the first things fans see as they approach Oakwell on Grove Street.” Dean Cook, Chairman of the BAPP Group of Companies & Ben Platts Managing Director of BAPP Group Limited, added: “After being involved with the Club for the last 10 years - through short sponsorship, our executive box, and ground branding - we felt this was the perfect next step. When we met with Darren to discuss the season ahead, the opportunity to align with both the Club and Norman’s legacy felt like the right fit. This stand sponsorship reflects our commitment not only to Barnsley FC but to the town itself.” Adding a personal connection to the announcement, BAPP Group Manager Richard Ward, who is also the grandson of the legendary Norman Rimmington, shared his pride: “My pride in seeing the stand named after my grandad has always been immense, but now with our company name alongside his for the next three years, it means even more.” The Club is honoured to strengthen its relationship with BAPP for Bolts and to celebrate a legacy that unites both heritage and local pride at Oakwell.
