Reds goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina has been nominated for Round One’s Carabao Cup Player of the Round award. The American produced a player of the match performance on his Barnsley debut last Tuesday, pulling some magnificent saves during the Reds’ 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic. He then turned hero in the subsequent shootout, saving two spot kicks in a 4-2 penalty shootout.
