[BFC SITE] A Letter from CEO & Fan Advisory Board Chair

Dear Reds,

The 2024/25 league season is almost upon us and Barnsley fans are getting ready to start the new campaign with a renewed sense of hope and optimism.

However, just as many cities and towns like ours have been busily preparing for football to return, we have sadly witnessed scenes that nobody wants to see repeated in the future.

Barnsley FC and football in general has the power to bring people together.

Since 1887, supporting our Club has helped to create a bond within our community for people from all backgrounds. We all come together to support our team: a team which is assembled from many different backgrounds and nations.

Whether that be at Oakwell on matchdays or via the Barnsley Community Trust and the incredible work that they do to provide crucial support to the people in our region that need our help, we stand together.

Barnsley FC is proud to be at the centre of this community and we will continue to use our platform to support this region and provide a sense of family and togetherness.

We love our town, and we love our Club, we will look after each other.
