The BBS will be one of those reliable sources........ About us We strive to collate and maintain over 50,000 salaries from the worlds 7 largest sports, spanning the past 10 years. Our team trawls the internet for reliable sources on a daily basis to save you, our readers, the time! Spawned out of a University economics paper on the state of modern football wages, our founders were inspired to make the information they researched publically available and have maintained the database ever since.
I find it hard to believe that we are paying Will Lancaster less than the minimum wage. Also, if Hondermarck wants to earn more than 30k a year, I always need lads on shovel.
IF these wages are true, then the fees we are paying say Oulare and Benson added together would’ve probably got Mowatt to stay. Or at least attracted a Championship quality player. Quality over quantity. Shame these owners don’t see it this way.
And then the very next day after we tripled Mowatt's wages Woodrow, Morris, Styles, Helik, Anderson, Britain etc would have been queuing up wanting the same wage increase.
Probably so, but they’d all already be under contract for next few years rather than out of contract in the summer like Mowatt was.
Mowatt was offered £15k a week. Not too dissimilar to what Pinnock was offered. Neither wanted to stay on those terms and I don’t think it’s wrong for us to not have gone higher.
No way we are paying more in wages than huddersfield. Surely not. Luton and Coventry maybe but still they manage to get championship players
Thought Pinnock was common knowledge and the contract came with the captaincy (as Davies had left/was leaving). Might have been slightly under £15k actually as it was £16k at Brentford on a four year deal on the rumour mill. Mowatt offered our highest possible contract to stay. Top earner. Well over the £10k a week ceiling at £15k.
Does anyone know without me looking it how the 6,880,120 total looks against our accounts, is it in the right ballpark, assuming less as we won't be paying gomes a million
Last total salary bill for the year to May 2020 was £11.1m covering 143 football activity staff, 25 commercial and 72 match day. 143 football staff, i do wonder what they all do…
Would they? Did the entire Swansea squad want to match Ayew’s wages? Will the Liverpool squad be knocking on the door when salah gets a new contract? Mowatt was the club captain, and had 15 goals or assists last season. Anybody that came in with demands could’ve been told to make themselves as important to the club.
