Great idea and will definitely participating . I do feel for all people living alone at this time of the year
We don't, we ordered one and the girls got bell necklaces from the Works the other day. Both sets of my grandparents had a bell in their houses though and as a kid in primary school I loved the chance to ring the bell for playtime etc.
Now you mention it, I remember my grandparents had a small decorative bell in their house. Ringing the bell at school was the best, they’re really heavy though!
I'm a bell ringer, a campanologist. Learned to ring around 1974 ! Never really took to handbells but have rung at many places in this country, including St Pauls and Westminster Abbey in London as well as loads of town and village churches. I used to be tower captain at St Marys in Barnsley and ringing master of the Barnsley and District society. So there !!!
