The root of all the problems that affect the club is still in place and making the decisions.

So what's your suggestion for an alternative.

Exactly. I’m not particularly expecting anything to greatly improve, although let’s hope they do.

There is always something for us to moan about, even last season. Let's be allowed to enjoy some rare good news.

A decent manager, some wins and climbing up the table will make us all a lot happier. The rest can be dealt with another day

They were in charge last year when we had one of the best teams in our history. We’re allowed to be happy about this.

I’m not sure I agree with your definition of ‘good news’. The Head Coach has left, having failed to win football matches, but there is at least a suspicion that he has not been properly supported by the people running the club. Perhaps this is an unfounded suspicion and the next guy will quickly turn things around. Hope so. But, for my part, the club’s malaise is about much more than the departed Head Coach.

And yet, last season they achieved way more than any side ever did under the sainted Patrick Cryne era. Don’t get me wrong - I don’t rate the CEO at all, he seems second rate in every way all the way back to his educational record in the US and the questionable ethics with the Watford debacle, but Schopp has had a massive, massive impact in this current malaise.

Did you say the same thing at the end of last season?

The issues are mounting up off the field, I get that, but if we were in the right half of the table again, nobody would be calling for the board to leave.

The big problem is that the results aren't coming in on the field, and the route of the problem is Markus Schopp.

    Exactly.

We don’t know the exact details of how the board operates, but in general as a fan, we’ve done ok.

Yes there are issues maybe to be resolved still, but we’re in a better position than a lot of other clubs out there.

Folk seem to forget Derby, Weds, Wigan, Forest and Bury and how bad they’ve been run by their owners…..

Time will tell I guess. For obvious reasons I hope you are right.

Issues in the background are obvious. They are magnified this year as people search for faults; they were masked last year whilst the same people basked in the results.

The same chancers are ruining and dividing the club. Their business acumen being no match for their football incompetence and failure to grasp the English game. For every unknown (Loko won't let me call them nobodies) we appoint there is more chance of a Schopp than an Ismael. We cannot compete in the 2nd tier by resetting from zero every 8 months, mistrust in the background, non-communication and constant alienation of one of the most loyal football communities I have ever known.
