disappointed to find we lost but the stats seem to suggest that they were better than us... anyone been and have a balanced view of the game. I am still happy enough with the start and think we will fare well overall. Next up are Villa, Fulham then Leeds.... All of them look at present to be in any way better than us I think we will a decent points haul from these fixtures. No need for any panicking for us in my view. We will get better and tougher ...of that I am pretty confident.
It's Leeds, then Fulham. If you turn up at Oakwell next Saturday expecting us to be playing Fulham, you're going to be lonely. And daft!
the clue is in ... "been to a wedding today" well it would have been rude not to imbibe.... and the house red was very palatable, despite what my Dr may say.... sod him for a day . oh and yes there's always the fact that I am stupid too... lets not forget that
Re: the clue is in ... "been to a wedding today" Weddings are second only to the most boring days in your life to christenings. I find other people's kids detestable.
Re: you and I are on the same page buddy Don't mind them myself although I can think of one I should have tried harder to avoid tbh.
I went. They had a better all round team than us - simple as that. It was very similar to the Ipswich game - we didn't look out of our depth but were slightly inferior in all positions so it was no surprise we lost. They'll definitely be in the play-offs at least so no disgrace losing on their patch in front of a boisterous 26,000. Davies was constantly closed down and once or twice he dallied on the ball and kicked it against their striker. We were a bit lucky that one of them didn't ricochet back into the net. Brighton centre-halves had Winnall/Armstrong/Watkins in their pockets and the strikers carried no real threat. I think Hecky picked a team to try and contain them but that went out of the window early doors when we let one in from our own free-kick. That's the 2nd week in a row we've left ourselves wanting at a dead ball in our favour and it cost us both times. Maybe we shouldn't throw so many people forward and leave opposition wingers unmarked. Kent put in some good crosses when he came on and we looked more threatening going forward. Winnall was perhaps the only player who I was disappointed in, seems to spend more time moaning these days than actually trying his heart out like the rest of the team. We were beaten by one of the promotion favourites again. At the moment we don't look like beating any of this type of team because we're very vulnerable at the back and good defenders don't have a problem marking Winnall out of the game. I think Hecky should now be starting Bradshaw and Armstrong and giving Winnall a bit of a rest. It's still looking good to remain in the division and from what I've seen we can hold our own against the bottom half of the league but might struggle against the upper echelon so no need to panic.
