Bit of a story,renewed 2 adult season tickets last Thursday whilst there the card reader played up,checked my mobile banking the following day to find twice the correct amount had gone out.I have contacted the club and still waiting for a phone call from the club.Surely at this time of year the club would make sure things like this wouldn’t happen.Cash is king from now on.
Has double the correct amount gone out, or has the correct amount gone out and there is a hold on a similar amount? I ask because I once bought something from B&Q and it took 3 attempts to take the payment out and there were two holds (3x the cost) on the account for the money. I think it was overnight it cleared the holds and the money was released.
I hope you have more luck than I did - I got charged twice by the club for some cup tickets a few years back and when I tried to get the duplicate refunded they said I couldn't prove I hadn't bought something else and refused to give me my money back.
This happens a lot with online purchase I make on my Amex card. There are sometime multiple Pending transactions, especially for overseas purchases. I wait until the Pending purchases clear, and an actual amount is posted, before I worry.
