Was thinking of Luca Connell - then thought about it - and still gave it to Connell.

In fairness the ball does look to go out of play so got away with one there. Cracking finish from Phillips though.

Roberts had a decent game. Only Connell and Phillips from the outfield players had a game of note. Gone for Phillips for his goal.

    I was bored once again.

Kane by a country Mile. Never giving up for the ball that led to our goal typified his performance yesterday.

Shouldn’t that read ‘so may have got away with one there’ because we can’t be sure all of the ball was over the line can we?

Agreed just about going for Philips but can see a case for the others. Also McCart was the least bad of the defenders

    Another vote for Luca.

I think he’ll quickly move up the rankings in the BBS leaderboard.

Looked a mile out to me from the TV angle, much further than the Newcastle did

It did, didn't it, but it wasn't easy for the referee to see, or the linesman, who was 75 yards away on the opposite side of the pitch and whose view was probably obscured by the players.

I thought Connell looked a class above the rest.

Kane for me. One of his best games for us, apart from that chance that he miscued so badly it would have been funny if it hadn't probably cost us the win! But he showed excellent tenacity for the first goal, chasing what looked like a lost cause. Phillips a close second. Looked far better than he has done for most of the season and capped it with a superb finish. Hopefully this is the start of him getting back to form - something we'll need if we're going to go on a run like we did last season.

I see a couple of Charlton fans have been on here, as Williams and De Gevigney have one vote each.

Connell. Without him, we'd have lost that.

Best I've seen Kane in a while. Good to see Phillips on the score sheet with a great strike.

A decent game in some ways. Too many defensive frailties down the left flank & too little composure for a final ball in the last third. A point gained, as it could have easily been a loss.

Updated after Charlton. The Luca surge continues
